Each captain has a special 'Super Charge' shot they can do once on the opposing side of the field which is worth (2x) if scored. Each captain and sidekicks (team members you can pick such as Birdo's, Koppa's, ect.) has game play varying from offensive to defensive to balanced. During game play, you can get various power ups such as: bob-ombs, red shells, green shells, stars, ect. As you would imagine in a wacky Mario sports game, there is no such thing as 'Penalties' unlike regular soccer.
