Gmc Intellilink Software Update Average ratng: 4,6/5 7893 votes

Sep 15, 2016 - The dealer's service department says no updates are available. While looking for other information on Intellilink, I came across this. In July, I purchased a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE. And all of those were wiped so either they replaced the head unit or did a wipe and restore with a firmware upgrade.

Please Select * I understand that if I’m purchasing CarPlay for a 2016 Vehicle, MVI will require the old module back as a core. MVI will email a core form to me before the product will ship. If not purchasing for a 2016 vehicle, No core form will be required I understand professional installation is recommended and MVI only allows up to 15 minutes of installation support. As a custom business MVI is not able to provide on demand tech support.

Tech support will need to be scheduled via text message (more info below). I have also read MVI’s Terms and Conditions and agree to these terms. I understand there is a 3-4 day processing timeline before orders will ship (2 business days). Boson netsim 10 with crack head. Description MVI is proud to offer the factory OEM Apple Carplay / Android Auto system upgrade for your new 2014 – 2016 GMC Truck or SUV. Many aftermarket systems often create more headaches than solutions, why not stick with the factory systems that were designed for your vehicle as we have your factory solution right here! Please note: If you currently have Factory NAV you will need to select the I06 option above or you will lose the Factory NAV all together. When upgrading to the CarPlay/Android Auto System you are changing out your existing NAV module and adding the newer module.

Please contact MVI for help in selling your old MyLink NAV System. In order to perform the Chevrolet CarPlay / Android Auto upgrade, you will need option code IO5 or IO6. For more information on how to determine which option code your vehicle is equipped with please see the FAQ tab above. FAQ Question: Can’t you just send a USB update for this upgrade?

The CarPlay/Android Auto system requires the faster 2.5 processor. This is a hardware upgrade. The benefit is that the overall IntelliLink performance will be much, much better. NOTE: if you have a 2016+ vehicle that already has Carplay but NOT Android Auto, Android Auto can be added to the system via software update. Question: Will my steering wheel buttons still work? Answer: Your steering wheel buttons will still function normal when NOT plugged into CarPlay / Android Auto. When you are plugged into CarPlay / Android Auto the steering wheel buttons will function in this manner: Apple: All buttons will work while plugged into CarPlay except the voice button to activate Siri. To activate Siri you will need to press the Siri icon on the touch screen or simply say “Hey Siri” to activate voice recognition, without touching any buttons.

Android: None of the steering wheel buttons will work to control your radio while plugged into Android Auto. We have heard of certain phones that the volume/track up/down buttons will work and communicate, but this is completely phone dependent. All radio functions can still be controlled through the touch screen and dash buttons. Using “ok google” will also allow you to control your phone and radio without having to touch any buttons. The only way to get the steering wheel control buttons to function completely normal when plugged into either CarPlay or Android Auto will be through upgrading to the digital instrument cluster ($900).
